My love for Airbus A319/320/321 models.

Hi collectors. I want to share with you my love for A319, A320 and A321 models. It is true that the mould is not the best, it is true that Herpa models are subjected to critical from us "perfectionist collectors", however it is a joy to know and see A319/320/321 models in my/our collections. The only thought that Herpa will produce Condor (Thomas Cook) A320, Alitalia A320, SAS A321 makes me happy, because i feel A320 family "friendly", elegant and harmonious in its shape lines and in its forms. The OG models also are something of exciting: Excalibur A320, British Midland A321, Condor A320, Air Bosna A319...these and other models are the story of our collection. Also for this reason i don't understand when the OG collection is misunderstood: it is an important, fundamental part of our collection, it started with these models, and my love for the 1:500 scale models started with OG models.
I hope for new Airbus A319/320/321 aircrafts for November-December issues.

Re: My love for Airbus A319/320/321 models.

I really like Herpa's choices of livery to put on thier A320 models. I think airlines like Air Berlin, Condor, Alitalia, SAS etc are fantastic choices, but those come across as bittersweet since I can't stand the mould. It's like being given a beautiful 5000$ Armani suit, for 19.95$, but that suit is five sizes to big or two small for you, and you will never be able to pull off wearing it. Its just the same old cycle of gratitude and dissapointment every time they announce one.

I also agree that the A320 is a beuatiful plane, and a workhorse at that. Its a very important part of modern aviation. I just wish it could be done better in our scale.

Herpa's A319 is actualy okay. It just needs a few tweeks. I'll wait for the MEA or SAS A321 to come out before I make a call on that. The A320 still needs a lot of work though.

The Air Berlin A319 for example, is amazing. It's so well done that it overshadows the funny upswept wings, bulbous nose and oversized engines and seams and LG. I decided to buy it and even display it.

Re: My love for Airbus A319/320/321 models.

I do love the entire Airbus 320 Family but i don't have any models of them yet because i will wait for a release of the 319. 320 in Philippine Airlines colors, But i want to get a 320 by this year.......
But very sad news to for Philippine Airlines some of their Airbus 319/320 pilots resigned because of other airline job offers forcing to cancel many regional flights operated by the small Airbus's

I`m also really happy with the situation about the A320-family from Herpa. And I don`t hope they will do bigger works at the NGV mould, it`s almost perfect.
