Also, I would like to see some retro DC-8s from United (Saul Bass Colors), Delta, Air Jamaica, and Braniff~Ultra. Retro collectors are part of the long-term future for this scale, just like they are in 1:400.
We should petition Herpa to set aside one batch of releases dedicated to mostly A300s. They ought to release at least one from every continent.

Just to reiterate some A300s/ A310s

Africa: SAA, Air Afrique, Egypt, Libyan
Asia: Garuda, Thai Int'l, Thai Air Corp, Air Siam, Philippine, Grandair, Tradewinds Malaysia, Indian, Air India, China Southern, China Eastern, China Northern, Saudia
Australia; TAA, QANTAS
Europe: AF, KL, AZ, IB
North America: Air Jamaica, AA (gray)
South America: VIASA, VASP, Cruzeiro

A300s and A310s by continent!

Re: 1:500 Scale Wishlist-Thread

Have you noticed that sometimes, the most ubiquitous airliner in a particular livery is the one never seen in our scale?

My new wishlist is for anyone to produce an airline's MAIN FLEET. By main fleet, I mean:
1) the aircraft (type) that a particular airline has the most number of (i.e., main workhorse);
2) used for most of its routes almost all over its network;
3) not necessarily the flagship;
4) may be past or present.

List:
Thai Airways - A300-600 (present); AB4 (previous)
Vietnam - A320
Philippine Airlines - A320
Cebu Pacific - A319
Malaysia - 737-400 (soon to be 738)
Garuda - 737 (soon to be 738)
Singapore - 777-200 (new colors, please!)
Pakistan - A310
GOL - 737
TACA/ LAN/ TAM - A320 family
AeroMexico - MD-80 and 737
American - 738 (regular colors)
Continental - 738

Re: 1:500 Scale Wishlist-Thread

There are a lot of models I want. But I limit myself to Scandinavian airlines in general and SAS in particular.

But It would be nice if Herpa shrunk the SAAB 340 to 1:500. And ofcourse released it with Skyways livery.

Re: 1:500 Scale Wishlist-Thread

These days, all we get are 777s. These are nice but I want to see more flagships from the "yesteryears."

Example:
KLM 747
Pan Am 747
AA DC-10
Thai DC-10

Re: 1:500 Scale Wishlist-Thread

Right now I'd like to see more 767-200s. There are too few of these out there, all we ever see is one every 5 years by Herpa.

767-200 Suggestions...
Ansett Australia (shooting star livery)
EL AL (blue 80s livery)
QANTAS
Britannia Airways (80s livery)
Air Seychelles
United (1980s Saul Bass livery)
Delta Air Lines (widget livery)
Air Canada (red 80s livery)
Kuwait Airways
TWA (twin stripe)
American Airlines
Air New Zealand (80s livery)
Varig
USair
CAAC
South African Airlines (80s livery)
AeroMexico (90s livery)
SAS (90s livery)
LanChile
British Airways (Landor)
Air Tanzania
Continental
Air Holland
Not to mention others, various liveries of the above mentioned airlines. There is so much potential here.

Another type of aircraft i would like to see are 737-300s. We dont see that many of these, and there is to be honest no good mould. I heard Herpa has improved their classic moulds, but id like to see a fresh start. Its one of the most important, most common aircraft of all times, yet it is so horribly represented in this 1:500th scale. What few we do get are uninteresting and misshapen.

I would like to see the following -300s,

Lufthansa (80s livery)
Condor (grey 80s livery)
British Airways (landor)
Continental (meatball)
USAir (early 80s livery)
KLM
Southwest Airlines
Monarch Airlines
Delta Airlines (widget)
CAAC
Dan Air London
CPair
United (saul bass)
Varig
Iberia
Germania
America West Airlines
Piedmont Airlines
TAP Air Portugal
American Airlines
Western airlines
Air Cal
Air Lingus
Air new Zealand

Again, just to name a few. Again, a very important, once common aircraft. Herpa is the only manufacturer with the right mould, and we see only one A300 model (usualy a -600) come every 1 too 2 years.

Also, A300B4s,

Olympic Airways
Hapag Lloyd
Air Inter
Iberia
Lufthansa (80s c/s)
Air Jamaica
SAS
Alitalia
Thai Airways
Air France
Pan Am
China Airlines
Air Afrique
Luxair
Scanair
Cruzeiro
Varig
MAS Malaysian Air System
PIA
Garuda Indonesia
Philippine Airlines

DC-9-50s are also rare, the mould exists from Inflight500, but to date only ONE Dc-9-50 model has EVER been made.

Delta Air Lines (nc)
Northwest Airlines (nc)
Northwest Airlines (90s livery)
Hawaiian Air
Austrian Air Lines
Finnair
SAS
TWA
Eastern Air Lines
BWIA
Republic Airways
Meridiana
