Oh great more DC-10s, are they going to do any modern types anytime soon, all they seem to do is DC-10s.

Do you ever pay attention to their other releases? They also have the B777-300 (unless those are going to the scrapman in droves now). I do agree, I think that he does need to look at other types, like more 737-200s, 727s, maybe even look at shrinking down his excellent DC-3 and Boeing 707. Though his DC-10 is excellent (as it is in 1:400). One thing you have to understand is that this is usually considered Аэроклассикс 500 because the guy who started this is the same guy behind Аэроклассикс in 1:400. So if you know anything about them, they mostly focus on releases of yesteryear rather than modern stuff. You might see their A320 mould get shrunken down if it things go well, and it has a lot of praise in the 400 scale community, so that would be something to look forward to. Besides, we need more decent DC-10s in 1:500. Especially to make up for those over-bloated ones that herpa has made and never changed except for the gear and some minor details.

Of course, herpa has released a TON of modern types. Why not look at those?

Hey, model plane manufactures, how about some Braniff PZL 230Fs.

I do pay attention to their other releases, it just seems to be alot of DC-10s lately, and I do have herpa models but prefer aero 500 because they are more detailed. I would like to other modern types other than the 777.

I don't know if we're going to see more modern stuff aside from the A320 just because this is AC's 500 scale branch, and it might be cheaper for them to just shrink down what they have now than throw in the larger amounts for an entirely new mould.

But I do agree, they need to look at more than just 2 moulds. I'm personally hoping to see their excellent DC-9 moulds shrunken down! Thisi s an aircraft wehich we could use a good representation of in 1:500.

Re: New by AERO500

Aero500 is a relatively new line compared to other 1:500 manufacturers they might concentate on DC10-777- but give them time to gett he full range out

Re: New by AERO500

Guys i am happy for new well done DC-10s, but we are speaking of crumbs and a few models produced sporadically. I am waiting for the complete range of models (Airbus and Boeing) for each manufacturer; i hope Inflight500 and Sky500 will release Airbus A320 family, all Boeing B737 family (from B737-200 to B737-900), Tupolev and Iliushin, because only then become truly competitive with herpa and because it is right that all models of aircraft to be produced. I know i am repetitive but i want a real competition between manufacturers (Herpa, Inflight500, Sky500...other), also because with a real competition the prices of the airplanes will decrease and (i hope) we will not see more prices like euro 77 for an airplane! (See Hogan JAL models).

How many units more of the DC-10 does ** need to sell in order to earn enough capital for a new A300 mould? We badly need those.

Sorry but i didn't understand what do you mean (Aero500 has to sell many DC-10 to obtain enough money for new moulds?)

It was a sarcastic comment expressing that:
1) With all the excitement about AC DC-10s, it is impossible that these: a) do not sell well, b) that the mould developer isn't at this point already raking in so much $$$;
2) So do they actually have very little money now to invest on a new mould that they will only have to scale down from 1/400;
3) The owner once wrote (prior to being banned) that the DC-10 releases are being used to test the waters for possible future releases.

Re: New by AERO500

Many Dc-10's are nice. But we need some Md-11's too. Especially Finnair (without Santa, Mumin or other special markings)...
