News and Pics from Wings-Boerse DUS May 2008

Models due to be shipped by Herpa in June include: AF Caravelle, Olympic ATR72, LAN A343, OS A320 (Football), Bangkok Airways A320

Here are some sample pics. The Horizon Dash-8 looks much better than I would have thought...

Mmmh, I don't know. That AirBerlin tail logo looks strange to me. Somehow too small, don't you think?

But that Horizon looks outstanding.

Re: News and Pics from Wings-Boerse DUS May 2008

should we assume that the asiana A330-300 and the bangkok air A320 will have been shipped ahead of this batch?

i was happy about that PIA 77W, but on closer inspection, the engines do not look painted. and the exhausts aren't two-tone.

The Asiana was not mentioned, which means IMHO that July is the earliest possible date of shipment. If I remember correctly, Bangkok Airways "Samui" was also mentioned as part of the June deliveries.

This may well be the reason. Keep your fingers crossed.

Archipelago is flying under the radar
Re: News and Pics from Wings-Boerse DUS May 2008

Wish that A343 LAN was already available, I've been waiting for this beauty for ages.
I heard 772LRF Air France and A320 Bangkok Airways have already been available right now. Of course, I'll be getting them too .

Look forward to getting my hands on everything I have been waiting for when they become available. Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for all the snapshots. I like all the details on that little AF Caravelle. They all look pretty nice.

Can anyone tell if the tail fin on the AeroGal is metal? From that picture it does not look plastic.

I admit I didn't check. But as far as I remember, it wasn't translucent. So it was either metal or painted plastic. Either would be fine by me. Let's keep fingers crossed; translucent plastic would spoil an otherwise great model.
