I saw another thread where the identity of Sky500 was discussed and would soon be made official, Is this it ?
Or is this a completely new mold and manufacturer in 1:500

Looks Good, is this mould the same as sky500? And to answer the other question Yes Aeroclassics is a licensed 400 manufacturer

Looks just like the Sky500 Korean Air B777 - different registration Sky500s is HL7526 - and I believe it is the same mold so what is the point?

pretty nice for a first model. I don't get it, is Sky500 and this Aero 500 related in any way ? Forgive my ignorance, I only collect Herpa and I'm only starting to accept other brands into my collection.

Exactly my same toughts!! This was discussed on DAC, the user N. Eberhard told about the mysterious owner of the mould, soon to be revealed, of Sky500's 772s. He told about two moulds being developed in parallel (the other mould is 773!!!

). So the owner is Aeroclassics!!! Hope for new wings and we will get 772LR and 773ER!

Interesting times for the 1/500 scale!!

Indeed. Very interesting times ahead for this scale, 2008 seems to be a renaissance of shorts for 1/500

I agree--there is a lot more activity in this scale than in the recent past, almost like the good old days! Hope that it continues

As long as the 1:400 politics don't come as well - at present I'm not particularly enthusiastic about yet another 1:500 player - there is such a backlog of material already announced but not yet delivered that it is becoming very difficult to keep up.

on the other hand, wouldn't the entry of an established manufacturer, albeit in 1:400, into the smaller scale be a jolt for herpa to get their act together? don't get me wrong, i'm a big herpa fan but have been disappointed with the backlog, too.

At least they are a new license manufacturer to provide competition with Herpa. Now just hope that Aero will come out with more models...and not disappoint us.

That is why Aero500 / AeroClassics never announce models in advance! I see no point to making announcements, but delivering nothing for months on end, if ever!
