My best guess is that down the road some innovative manufacturer (
Lord knows not Herpa ) will be smart and know that a brand new sparkling 787 in Northwest's final colors will be a hott seller. And yes I do so hope Herpa will go ahead and make the Northwest 757 w/winglets! It was announced officially, so the masterminds at Herpa can technically say its a real and official aircraft. |

maybe some time down the road, herpa will release items similar to inflight500...they will be produced when they get produced.

![]() Even if all of this does happen quicker than Herpa's production, they can still add a "yesterday series" sticker to the box at the last minute. Well, Herpa have just released it in 1/200. But it will, in all likelihood, remain a fantasy model. I'm not betting on it as a 1/500. A shame, though... |

The merger of DL and NWA will not necessarily mean that there won't be any NWA models anymore. Look at AA and TWA, after the merger/take-over of TWA we still see plenty of TWA releases. Only now the boxes carry a sticker that it is licenesed by AA. The same might happen with DL. We've also seen e.g. a Northeast B727 release by Herpa licensed by DL.

Well, good news is that the Iberia A320 is out now, so is the LTU nc A330, and the Augsburg Airways(Team Lufthansa) Q400. Lets hope the other delayed ones follow.

Wait a minute, that next LTU nc A330 with reg. D-ALPB. Is the real aircraft also going to be painted into AirBerlin/LTU colors just like D-ALPI? Does anyone know?

I'm not sure of the registration, but I know there are two versions of the NC LTU A330-200. One was the X-tra shop release of LTUs probational livery prior to the Air Berlin take over. Essentialy they are identical except the interim livery Features the aircraft title LTU.com in little letters. This version aside from having a different registration has the more current LTU livery in big bold letters. All of these are now to be considered Yesterday models since LTUs A330s now fly under Air Berlin Banner.

Arrived today together with the LTU A332:
In the box of the Iberia model was a little paper with following information printed on it: "Q.C. check by: 005 (PASS)" I never had this before! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

(if you click on the registration you will see a picture of the original) 1.) Nr. 508292, D-ALPI, the extra-release, had interim livery with white engines, small LTU.com titles and the red colour under the fuselage begins behind the front gear. This model is "yesterday" now because the plane is wearing AB-titles since about two weeks. 2.) Nr. 509961, D-ALPB, announced 01/02-2008, has the regular new LTU livery with red engines, big titles and the red colour under the fuselage begins at the nose. The new Air Berlin colours which look like on D-AERQ won`t be given to all LTU-planes! Some of the A332 will remain in the new LTU-scheme. I don`t really know the reason but I heard something about agreements with tour operators. So I have to correct you, Digital, model no. 509961 won`t be a yesterday model!!!!!!! |
