Re: Toy Fair Nuremberg 2008

I had been looking forward to see IL96 and DC-8 with fat engines!
I love Cubana scheme on IL96 and want to see one in the shining silver Aeroflot scheme as well.
I think the DC-8 is so elegant even though I'm not one of those who saw her flying mainly. Which scheme will come first on her?? Maybe DHL?

The Independence Air is a suprise! The airline doesn't exist anymore, but still nice colors.

Re: Toy Fair Nuremberg 2008

1:500, and I'd be all over that plane! But now I'm REALLY wondering why they can't come out with a National Airlines (mk II) 757?

Any news on the new Museum/Club models?

Re: Toy Fair Nuremberg 2008

I love that IL-96 as well as that IL-76. Seems like Peter had mentioned a IL-18 in Aeroflot OC, I wonder if this will be in RA flag or CCCP reg or even if it is in 1:500, or even better, late 50s-1970s colors. Looking at the blurry, but still noticable photo, looks like the latter. This might be a very good year, now lest hope that herpa can get things back in working order so we can get our releases with less wait time!

Re: Toy Fair Nuremberg 2008

i am delighted thet herpa will be releasing an IL-96...but one thing i don't understand: they kept saying in the past that the IL-86/96 will not be produced because there is too few airlines to make with this mould. in that case, why did they go for the -96 instead of the -86?

or maybe we'll see them use a common fuselage despite the +/-5m difference in fuselage length between the -86 and -96?
