hmmm...that would be nice. but given that the description at the database entry says "1990s colors," it probably is the normal one.

I wish the front gear wheels were smaller. The nose has a bit of a Herpa look to it. I like the IF500 732 nose better.

The plane is available at westmaintoys, and sincerly the mould doesn't convince me 100%; what do you think about this B737-700?

well I agree with the others whom said the front looks off. The nose gear just makes the plane look bulky. I think Inflights 800-900 mould looks much better in that regards.

I think that the mould is not bad, but the front gear doors are too big. The livery is printed a bit too high. Compare at the picture of the real bird the distance of the last door frame to the fin with the imprint of the model. Also the cheat line appears too high. Engine details are printed too prominent and are printed too low.

I tried to modify the picture a bit. Should look more like this: (What do you think??)

Direct comparison:

I think you're right on target. I guess it is sometimes very difficult to get the prints onto the models in the correct way. as most of the factories are also working under extreme time pressure, some of the models are just about right, but not really right. Anyhow, I just received this model and must say that I'm quite happy with it. While it is not perfect it is on the right way and I guess we'll see more interesting B737's released by IF500 in the future. Now if they'd just start doing some Airbus models, too!

Re: NEW RELEASE: 1:500 Inflight500 Air China B 737-79LWL

Living in the west I would love to have this eastern livery in my collection but I think that a remake with a better job from herpa or hogan might just provoke me to buy this one.

You might have to wait a looooonnnggg time, as Herpa would first have to rework their mould before we can even think about seeing this livery on a Herpa/Hogan model. And as it just has been released by Inflight500 it wouldn't be so wise for Herpa to release the same model, too....
