Hi AV8TOR,
Harry Potter is a teenage wizard. He's from a children series which is the biggest thing in children's books at the moment. Apparently it's really big in the States and the UK. Haven't read any of them, only heard all these from the news. |

Jason,
Thanks for the info about Harry Potter...No sooner than you said that, it appears that this dude is like way cool to all kids here in the 50th state too. I mean the kids literally camped out at borders and other stores till midnight for the publication to make its debut!! How's that for persistence. Would anyone be willing to that for a particular/rare model? If so, what would that mystery model be?? ![]() |

AVATOR, I would camp out if Herpa would release a Ransome or PanAM Express Dash 7 not 8 A DASH7. Call me crazy but I just love that 4 Allison Turbo prop driven commuter. It can takeoff on like a football field. (I know I am exagerating a little) I do not see them anymore. I do not think it will be as memorable as a Viscount because not many were made. But I think it was a great airplane.

No, I wouldn't call you crazy at all. In fact that's a great idea! You know, the PanAm livery is nice too. Once upon a time Hawaiian Air use to fly 4 of those commuters here between the islands. Don't recall any models though?? |

AV8TOR,Wouldn't it be cool if Herpa for a substantial rate would customize a plane of your choice. I would deffinitely pay for it.

TwoSevenLeft,
Ooohh Yeah!! It would be definitely WAY-COOL! Is anyone else out there willing to pay the price??? BTW, 27L when you say substantial rate, how much are we talking, and what would your creation be? |

Hi 27L,
in Wings World 3/97 i found following Answer from Herpa for a Kid that would order an Model only for him with his Name on it: "Sorry, but we only produce models on request if you order 1.000 models or more. And it costs us between USD 550 to 1.100 to just produce a pattern, plus the usual production cost." I think that's much expensive to you. Another Idea was you buy an normal Model and go with this and an good Picture of your wanted Model to an Airbrushpainter and ask him if he can realize it. I've seen here in Germany many Carmodels that are produced so. Stevie [This message has been edited by CF6-50 (edited July 16, 2000).] |
