Bae 146-200 is flying under the radar
My wife bought me my first Herpa 1:500, that being an Air Canada B747-433 500739 without registration about 2 years ago. Since then my collection has grown to include 10 1:400 Dragon Wings, 3 Starjets-Schuco, and 93 1:500 Herpa models. To me, my rarest are the Herpa 1:500 Air Canada A320-211 501521 and Federal Express DC10-10F 500012, both in their old colour schemes. My dream is to someday acquire a 1:500 B747 Danzas fantasy livery for my collection.

I started collecting diecast models around 1995. My first HERPA was the "Shamu" ("Seaworld of Texas"); it was a gift from me to my wife, because she liked it so much! At this moment I concentrate on collecting HERPA scale 1:500 & 1:400. It is my goal to collect as much as possible and at this moment only a few models do not belong to my collection.
I own around 800 HERPA scale 1:500 / 1:400
I also own around 250 Dragon/ Starjets / Skyjets / Aeroclassics / Gemini
In the scale 1:100 I have 6; mostly L1011's
I love all my models but the most precious ones are my 5 sample models by HERPA scale 1:500:

Martinair MD-11 (twice but different ones)
Transavia Boeing 737-800
Transavia Boeing 757-200
Air Seychelles Boeing 767-300 (!)

Happy collecting,

Peter Jos

Alright,

I started in January of 2002 and have currently 45 models in my collection. the rarest model(s) I have in my fleet are the Lufthansa A340-200 OG "Star Alliance" , Continental NG B777-200 "Peter Max" , America West Airlines B757-200 NG "Arizona Cardinals". All these models are limited to 3,000 pieces each. My favourite models now are my CX fleet.

Gotta love this hobby!

Cool my collection.

kia ora Jason;
Greatings from accross the tasman, !

well I started collecting my models, about 3 years ago, when my mum and dad were here in NZ and brought me an Ansett 747-300 in 1:500, and from that day I have never given up collecting tho there have been times!

At this moment in time ive got 145 models in my collection, mostley airlines from the 'star alliance' group of airlines, and then 2 years ago i started to collect our national airline, Air New Zealand, you know the airline Qantas is after! and now have 24 planes alone in Air NZ colours and it gets bigger every time i shop, which will be soon, however as im tryung to build a model airport of Auckland, I also try and get airlines that fly into it, and i will be getting a few of the Qantas 738's to spice the airport up,

hope this helps

Started collecting back in 96 and fleet has expanded to about 200+ models mainly in 1/500

rarest models I have is the FedEx DC-10 o/c , MarsCargo(bought 2 cos 1 of the box wasn't in perfect condition), SQ Tropical 9V-SPK

I only buy models i like especially all the special livery. However there are too many manufacturers now with many nice models so i have to really restrict myself (too much $$ involved). I just ordered the AirHK set and hope to get it real soon

To everyone here...lets enjoy our hobby and leave all other squabble out....

Enjoy

Talking

In the summer of 1999, my dad brought me a B.A 747 and a North West 320 from Heathrow airport. Very since then, collecting 500 scale has taken over my life. I have a 500 scale airport under my bed and my dad buy's 2 - 3 planes per month or every time he flies.
It's great.

Hi all,

this is incredible. This thread started nearly 3 years ago, and is still going... Anyway, my collection has grown since this thread started, now I have nearly 730 models, and I like every single one of them.
