SATA/Azores Airlines models.

Ciao to all.
Like 1:400 scale also for the 1:500 scale i am proud to annouce Herpa will realize some SATA/Azores Airlines models (source: SATA/Azores Airlines). I am really happy for this news, finally a new airline and something suitable for my amazing Funchal airport!
Delivery date into two years and maybe Herpa will not produce anything, but this is the news and i tell you. All the models should have landing gears but i am not sure about the stands.
Here we are:

Azores Airlines A321Neo (still don't know the registrations, expected delivery date November/December, 41,85 euro)

Azores Airlines A320 CS-TKQ (expected delivery date June/July, 35 euro)

Azores Airlines A330-200 CS-TRY (expected delivery date June/July, 41,20 euro)

SATA Air Acores B737-300 (still don't know the registration, expected delivery date 2018, 41,85 euro)

SATA Internacional B737-300 (still don't know the registrations, expected delivery date 2018, 41,85 euro)

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

Interesting news, but which ones are 1:400 and which ones are 1:500?
The prices are way too high

Their current 'livery' is a shocker.

All the models in this section are 1:500 scale. The models produced in 1:400 and 1:200 are posted in the respective forums.

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

Apply these horrific prices for all new models or just for Azores Airlines models? If so, I won't buy a Azores Model, if not, I'll stop collecting.

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

So... Herpa says that Boeing 737 Classic releases won't sell well and claim they won't use the mould anymore, yet they state they will produce not one but TWO classic 737s from SATA (which is not a "popular" airline)??? Really?

I find that really hard to believe.

A330, A320? Ok fine, that's acceptable. But not those 737s.

And also: 40 Euros for 1:500 model? How about no.

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

I agree, that the prizes are far to high. Maybe those are limited series for inflight sales only? anyways you can already pre-order them in their air azores online store!

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

From what i've been told by them (SATA) the models are exclusives for them. Maybe that's why the prices are so high and there are two classic 737's...Also the first models are expected to be launched when they receive their first new airplane

You pointed up my doubt, that is if Herpa would produce some of these models for the regular sell in the main models shops at different prices.
The fact is that 100 euro are not enough to buy three models, A321, A320 and A330-200...sad situation.

I also completely agree with Leo: the two B737-300 will be the old, ugly models because Herpa has told us again and again that a new B737-300/400 mould is not planned. 41 euro for this B737-300 model? Really too expensive even if exclusive-inflight model.

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

"ME:Boa tarde,

Translating this part of conversation:
ME: Will the a321Neo be available also in 1:400 scale? And also the models are expected to be released this year or the next one?

SATA: Hello. The model (a321neo) will only be available in 1:500 and 1:200 scales. The a321 will be released near the end of the year (or when we receive the real plane) and before that one there will be 3 models being released.

ME: Are they exclusives for you guys or will Herpa make them available as a regular model?
Thanks for your clarification.

SATA: All SATA models are our exclusives. The ones that were circulating on the market (referring to the a320 in 1:400) were not authorized and local authorities are taking care of it. Thanks

Hope this helps somehow.
I assume the models wont be available at regular stores...

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

Very nice Infos; even when Herpa only produces them exclusively for SATA/Azores Airlines.
But here you can see. When an airlines orders several types of models for their shop, Herpa produces every model, even when they do not wanna produce them anymore (like the 737-300). It's also quite sad that those very nice models are quite expensive

But when the A321NEO should be available in Nov./Dez. 2017, means that that Herpa has to develop a new mould for the A320NEO Family, or??? Maybe we get to see a new mould in the next upcoming batches...

Re: SATA/Azores Airlines models.

Interesting information then!
Now I see why so expensive and why release these odd 737s.

Would be also cool to see a Dash 8-100

My same thought, maybe because Herpa is developing the A320/321Neo mould while the A330 is already developed. I wonder if this exclusive model will be the first A321Neo of the year 2017 or if Herpa will produce some more before.
