Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

Ooooh. What a list, what a list.

My "Maybe wants":
524391-002 A380 British Airways
527781-002 B787-9 Etihad
528993-001 A320 Vueling
530040 B787-8 Uzbekistan Airways

My "Definitely Wants"
530019 B757-200 OpenSkies
529969 A400M Royal Air Force

I've been hoping for that OpenSkies for a while. Can't really fit a BA 757 on my airport right now, but the OpenSkies is easily the next best thing!

519137-001 A330-200 Hawaiian

I really don“t know what to do with this model...
The "new" 332 mould is too pointy and ruins the front sector, and on the other hand there are rumors saying that Hawaiian is going to revise the current livery...

530088 Airbus A318 - Avianca

Absolutely !

I can live without the rest.
Herpa, why not the AA 772 at once ?

Just my two cents, my friend: why to regret what has not been done? Hawaiian has a beautiful current livery and, although the mould is not perfect, it is nice and the price is not prohibitive so...buy it!

B-HUF is flying under the radar
Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

And this batch actually surprises me once again...there's neither an Air France B787-9 nor a Qantas new liveried A330-300! These would have been realised by Herpa as quickly as possible in the past! And there's even no Emirates!

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

So I'm considering pre-ordering a model or two for the first time. But as it seems like even the last release of new models isn't available yet, how long does it normally take between a model being announced and it being ready for sale?

I'm mainly interested in that Flybe E195 from last release and the OpenSkies B757, if that helps narrow down my question.

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

I honestly wouldn't pre-order a model without seeing actual pics of it.
Herpa can ruin a model, remember the Transaero Tu-214?

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

Update.

Just as I feared, the DHL will use the horrible Net Models mould. It's either so the engines are correct or because Herpa no longer have access to the non-winglet NG1 tooling. A ruined model in any case.

The Aeroflot seems over-sparkly. If they can get the new American livery correct why not this?!
