Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

Strange they didn't do a DHL with winglets this time around. Still nice anyway.

I wonder if they will use the Net mould for this one? Herpa have never produced the early RR engines themselves and I doubt the Net ones will fit their pylons.

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

I am happy for the RAF A400 because i did not say this model was in production (i asked to Herpa) even because i wanted to make a surprise to those members waiting and loving it!

WOW a very interesting batch this time with some great models...
I will definitely go for the Aeroflot 737 (a great model) Belavia TU154 YES YES wanted that model for a Long time Tap Express ATR72 very nice maybe they've changed the mould Than UTAir 767-200 great release even because it's a -200 Version. And a re release which sounds veery interesting is the Hawaiian Airlines A332. Just two maybe's this time: Avancia A318 and DHL 757.

All in all a nice batch of releases. Please do more in that way Herpa. American (South and North) is in a way represented (I think some would like to see more) ans Russia is also in that batch.

The ATR-72-600 is a new tooling, according to the Herpa order sheet.

I expected a Lufthansa B747-8 but quite frankly not D-ABYK. What is the registration of the BA A380 re-release?

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

Nice batch of releases! I'm particularly happy with the OpenSkies B757-200WL which I have waited for long!! Wonder if there will be a Landor liveried B757-200 in the next batch, given Herpa has been quite keen on BA classics recently? AndI may also get the Avianca A318 and TAP Express ATR-72 as well.

Considering we now know the re-releases and the ATR will be a new mould, I will also get the Hawaiian A330 as well as the TAP Express ATR. When I saw the ATR, I had something amazing in my mind..

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

Sad there aren't any new US releases but I guess we have had a few recently.

Will definitely get:
Uzbekistan 787-8
British Airways A380 re-release
Hawaiian Airlines re-release ( thank you Herpa, this is like a new release for me !)

Possibly:
RAF
Open skies

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

A very weak batch for me, but i'm happy because there are many surprises!

None of these models fit in my collection focus, so I won't get any of these.
But I'm happy because:

1) TWO 757-200 releases, one with winglets!
It seems that the NG1 757 mould is back, hopefully! This is simply wonderful, Herpa really needs to release a Delta and American NC 757-200

2) ATR 72 new mould????
I really can't wait to see this! Finallyyyyyyyyy!

3) UTAir B767-200
Another mould coming back! The 767-200 mould! If I remember correctely, the last release was the Aerosur Sharko... would be interesting to see a new 762 mould based on the 763 mould, but I also like the NG1 mould so i'm happy anyway.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like I always do (And I like to do this hahahah), i'll give my opinion about each model:

529990 B737-800 Aeroflot
Nice release. A great mould and a great livery. Good job Herpa

530002 TU-134B-3 Air Koryo
Air Koryo seems to be getting some attention lately... maybe we'll see a Tu-204 later! Anyway, interesting release.

530088 Airbus A318 - Avianca
This is the most nonsense release of this batch, IMHO. Here in Brazil, Avianca's A318s are being retired. I don't know about the Colombian Avianca, but I suppose they also are, that's why there's none in the new livery. WHY THE A318, HERPA? Why not the A319 or A320 in new livery? Why choose a model with old livery, which is being retired? I need Avianca at my model airport, but this is a wasted chance!

530026 B747-8I Lufthansa "Siegerflieger Olympia Rio 2016"
530033 B747-8I Lufthansa "Siegerflieger Paralympic Rio 2016"

Why two in the same batch? Taking a slot from another model... the only difference is a small sticker and Herpa counts this as a release, it should count as a re-release. Or maybe release both as a set, and not two nearly identical models in a single batch. Dislike!

530095 AN-124 Russian Air Force
It's already the third or fourth An-124 for Russian AF, right? But I guess there aren't many other options left so... whatever

530071 TU-154M Belavia
Nice release, Tu-154s are welcome! Even if the nose section of the mould isn't that nice.

529976 B757-200F DHL "Eliska“s Return to Afrika"
A very interesting release! This can also count as a re-release of the old DHL 757. Hopefully it will be in NG1 mould and not the ugly Netmodels mould.

530019 B757-200 OpenSkies
Great release! This one will be a beautiful model

529969 A400M Royal Air Force
Nice release for the fans of military birds. Many folks here are from the UK, so they'll probably enjoy this

530064 ATR-72-600 TAP Express
Veeeery nice! I want to see the new mould ASAP

530057 B767-200 UTair
Lovely! The B767-200 is back!
Great release from an important Russian airline!

530040 B787-8 Uzbekistan Airways
Great one, Uzbekistan livery is beautiful and very colorful!

It seems that this batch was great for Russian aviation lovers

About the Re-releases: A320 Vueling and Hawaiian A330 are great ones!
Vueling because since it's an important low-cost airline from Europe, many collectors will have the chance to have TWO Vueling A320 models with different registrations for their model airports... and the Hawaiian is great because the original release is now very hard to find!

That's all

Not a great batch but one 'heavy' is surely landing in my fleet in 2017 from this current batch I know you all will be able to guess that!

Re: Herpa Wings News 03/04-2017

For me Aeroflot B737-800WL, Open Skies B757-200WL, Belavia Tu-154 and UTAir B767-200 are the most important and beautiful releases in this batch of news.
About Avianca A318 i personally like this model a lot but Leonardo is right when he says that this is a strange decision because Avianca is progressively retiring the model; but, we must say, it is something new in the desolation of Central-South American airlines, maybe (and i really hope!) it is just a start!
TAP Express ATR-72 (even if i would have preferred the E-190) and Uzbekistan B787-8 are beautiful releases.

Personally, there is nothing interesting for me, but I can see why many others like it. It's something different and I commend Herpa for releasing some models that are rare or extrodinary. Sadly, there is still no Qatar A350, Etihad A330/777 but a stupid 787 re-release, or China Eastern A332.
