That was among the first models I bought and I was absolutely unaware that it could be rare! It was sold super cheap on ebay..
Yeah, back when it was released it wasn't rare... but now it seems that everyone got theirs and nobody wants to sell it
I got mine on a trade here on W900 and it's a totally needed model for me, I use it a lot on my diorama

The next airline on my list is Ryanair which flew me to some holiday destinations:
Boeing 737-230 EI-CNZ was first delivered to Lufthansa in 1981 and registered D-ABFU. Ryanair aqcuired it in 1997 and used it until 2006 before the aircraft was sold to LAN Airlines, reregistered as CC-CQU and flown until 2008. Today the aircraft is stored.
I bought this model as a placeholder for a 737-800, but I haven't seen one for a price I would be willing to pay..
Today I'll start with an airline which is quite popular here: airberlin! They shuttle me around within Germany and Europe and their long-haul product to the US isn't too bad either.
Fokker 100 D-AGPB has quite a story to tell as it was first delivered to USAir in 1989 and stayed in their fleet as N851US until 2003. In 2003 Germania added it to their fleet and reregistered it as D-AGPB.
Between 2004 and 2009 Air Berlin flew it until it was returned to Germania - it was stored immediately. In 2010 Alliance Airlines aqcuired the aircraft and registered it as VH-XWN - it is still in active service today
Airbus A320-214 D-ABDC was delivered to Air Berlin in 2006 and was sold to Chengdu Airlines in 2012 where it flies under the registration B-6900:
Boeing 737-86J D-ABBB was delivered to Air Berlin in 2001 and was sold to Orenair in 2012 which stored it in 2015. Today the aircraft is in active service with Xtra Airways and registered as N624XA.
Airbus A330-322 D-AERS was initially delivered to LTU in 1997 and sold to Khalifa Airways in 2001 (C-FRAV). In 2003 it was leased by Corsair and flown under the registration F-GJSV before it was aqcuired by SkyService in 2004 (C-FRAV). In 2005 the aircraft returned to LTU and got it's first registration back (D-AERS) and it was painted in Air Berlin colours in 2008 during the merger process with airberlin. It stayed in airberlin's fleet until 2011 when it was stored before it was sold to I-Fly and reregistered as EI-ETI. In 2016 the aircraft was stored and is not in active service any more
Embraer 190 OE-IHB "Lambada" was delivered to NIKI in 2009 and was sold to Helvetic in 2015 where it flies under the registration HB-JVO.
The last airline for today is an airline which is not around anymore because of the US-Market consolidation: US Airways!
Airbus A321-231 N542UW was delivered to US Airways in 2009 and stayed in the fleet after the merger with American Airlines:
Airbus A330-323X N670UW was delivered to US Airways in 2000 and reregistered as N270AY in 2006. The aircraft stayed in the fleet after the merger with American Airlines and is still in active service today:
I like your collection and i am very happy you're continuing to add beautiful models. What about your favourites?
Thank you for your very kind words
I really like models of small planes and one of my absolute favourites is the flyNiki E190 - probably because I took many flights with it already.
From an aesthetic point of view I really love the Finnair A350 model
Let's continue the thread with an airline which took me to Scandinavia some times: Norwegian:
Boeing 737-36N LN-KKJ was delivered to Transbrasil in 1997 and sold to Varig in 2000. Norwegian acquired the aircraft in 2002 where it was in service until 2014 when it was stored. Since January 2016 this bird flies for Air Peace in Nigeria as 5N-BQU.
The last airline for today is Virgin Australia which flew me across wonderful Australia
Airbus A330-243 VH-XFB was delivered to Emirates in 2000 and sold to Virgin Australia in 2011. In 2014 it was reregistered as PR-AIX and flew for Azul until it was sold to TAP in 2016 where it is in active service as CS-TOT.
Boeing 777-3ZGER VH-VPD "Avalon Beach" was delivered to Virgin Australia in 2009.
