Yes! I think you are right. So I will continue to work on it. Just received some files for metal work.

I am thinking about to reduce it even a bit more.... What do you think?

The pylon size looks now perfect, the engine could be placed a bit forward. As SausageAndMash noticed the too large engines remain a problem. But the reduced pylon helps a lot. Thank you for your NGV rework-suggestion!

Re: Herpa new A320 family mold.

Many thanks for your comments. Yes, I think the engines are too big, but I can´t change this.
Now the model looks like this:
TC-JRGLN3

Not perfect, but I think way better than the original

IMHO a big improvement! I am tempted to say, that herpa could follow your example, but I rather hope for a resumption of the NGVI production.

Great job! You should send some pics to Herpa, maybe they'll move their butts and do something. I'm scared to think about how the NEO will be!

Re: Herpa new A320 family mold.

Many thanks )

My next try was to rework the A320-WL pylons.

Here my first result on an Eurowings A320:

with reworked pylon:

D-AEWA_L
with original pylon:

D-AEWA_R

In my opinion it looks much better with the reworked pylon.
I think, that clearly shows that Herpa should be able to rework it too.

Re: Herpa new A320 family mold.

Just tried to modify this Air Canada A319 model.
Sometimes I get bored and I like to modify models on Photoshop

Enhanced version:

- shorter nose
- muuuuch shorter pylons
- shorter gears
- smaller nose gear wheel
- shorter gear strut (that one in 45º angle)

muuuuuch better IMHO

Tell me what you think!

Re: Herpa new A320 family mold.

Thank goodness for the pylons! No way that the previous one got through pre-production, they must have been high at Herpa!

And if you permit me I propose an even more enhanced version with better cockpit windows, a radome nose line and a slight angled engine intake
