TGA 707 is flying under the radar
Re: Petition to GeminiJets for more DC-8-3x models!

Thanks Albert. I might place a bid on that. I'm working on filling some holes in my collection right now.

Has anyone ever done a Panagra? A DC-8 -30 or -50 would look great in yellow and green!

Thumbs up Re: Petition to GeminiJets for more DC-8-3x models!

Gemini Jets for the most part is the only manufacturer that has released any DC-8-30 series models in the 1:400 scale. Shuco has released 1 model, however, they are also a sub-brand of the Gemini Jets family. We already have the following releases produced:

(1) Japan Air Lines DC-8-33 GJJAL229 (1970's Livery)
(2) Northwest Airlines DC-8-33 GJNWA230 (1960's Livery)
(3) Swissair DC-8-33 GJSWR268 (1970's Livery)
(4) Varig Brasil DC-8-33 GJVRG013 (1970's Livery)
(5) Viasa Venezuela DC-8-33 (1960's Livery)

Yes, a whole whopping 5 Airlines that have been produced, and Gemini Jets has the only mould as it appears for the Dash-8 Series 30. Along with the previously posted photos of Airlines, I would also like to see the following produced as well (see attached photos)... aside from the United "Mainliner" livery, which pales in comparison to their "Friendship" livery with all the "Bars & Stars" , both versions would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection if they happen to collect United models. Regardless as to which manufacturer produces these models, they would definitely be a popular item with the "Vintage Era" Collectors.

As for myself...put me down for one of each!

Deltaflyte, thanks for the info and those are excellent suggestions. A good friend of mine and a captain I fly with used to be a check engineer at Capitol in the early 80s. He also collects and I'm sure would buy that version. He once gave me a rather detailed explanation on how the ejectors worked on the -30s. Pretty interesting. As for me, I'll take your "Stars and Bars" and each of the following if they are ever produced:

It don't works! :-(

"The photographers at the Airliners.net and Jetphotos.net would really appreciate your views by doing this method.
When one picks a photo from the two sites, note that there is two small tags (One for Anet, One for Jetphotos) for the photos just above the Reply box here on wings900.
You see the 7 digits on the url, copy that and click on the TAGS [JPx] xxxxx [x/JP] & [ANETx] xxxxxx [x/ANET] Replace the X's inside in between the brackets and place the digits there. "
