Alaska 737-200 is flying under the radar
Question Whats the visual differance between the 777-200F and the 777-200LRF?

I'm about to buy a FedEx 777 and was wondering if there is any difference between the

777-200LRF

And the 777-200F....

Re: Whats the visual differance between the 777-200F and the 777-200LRF?

The second Fedex image is a duplicate of the exact image beforehand. Therefore the same model is posted here on these two images.

Besides I can't even say it's the same aircraft, cause it's basically is. the B777F has the same exact configuration like the B777LRF, as it uses the same WING with raked wingtips and GE-90-115B. hence the LR (LONG RANGER) Besides -LRF is the same aircraft. Cause Boeing has released the Aircraft type as B777F.

Hope this reply helps.
But Im sure other can explain it better than me.

Like Jay already said, currently there is only the 777F Freighter based on the 777LR.
Maybe we will see 777-200 converted to a Freighter some day... then we have two versions.

You won't necessarily find any current airlines wanting a STOCK B772F, cause they may opt for the LR version B777F instead. Better range, Better engines as well ! (-115B engines)
Perhaps one day when the B744 is phased out and many airlines are still operating the B772A/ER, although the B772A's which is the NON ER versions of the B772 is almost already "scrapped", I can only think of the Asian airlines and UA/BA operating still with NON ER versions.

Maybe Airlines are gonna be standing in line to take over some USED B772s/B772ERs and convert them under the BCF program. It was possible with the B744 and the B767's, so why not 777s ?

So I should get the extended version as that is what FedEx will most likely operate?

There really isn't I think the 777-200F was just Gemini's early version of it. Then they gave it the correct lettering... If you want my opinion... Go with the Dragon one.... it is much better
