An-225 1/400 (Handmade)

flugzeugmodelle.com from Switzerland produces a handmade model of the An-225 in 1/400 scale! The model is with landing gear, antennas and even the pitots. It comes with a metal stand. It is made from wood, resin and metal. Most probably this is the smallest handmade model of the world. The model looks if beeing from one piece (no deep "canyons"). The beauty costs CHF 199.00. They are even making the An-225 with the russian space shuttle Buran.

Re: An-225

I think that one is cute...

Being handmade, that's one beautiful model. Amazing that there's no wing-body joint seam. Pretty cool.

Re: An-225 1/400 (Handmade)

Beautiful work! An answer to the strong demands strong demands for an AN225.

Antennae and pitot tubes! Could this pave the way to additional detailing for the rest of the 1/400 model manufacturers?

Great looking airplane, if I had 200 to blow I'd get one.

Re: An-225 1/400 (Handmade)

Apparently the AN225 comes in two options.

First Photo:
Model is in today's Normal Cargo configuration.

And second and third photo:
With Supporters plus the Buran Shuttle Aircraft..

If it wasn't so expensive, then I would buy one of each, but if I'm getting the first one, but then I might change my mind and would rather want the Buran Config as well.. Hmm Though cookie !!

Here's one for the AN225 Experts. What are those two bulges on top of the Wing-Body Joint?
Auxiliary Fuel Tanks?

Wonderful crafting, wonder it will ever go mainstream production.
Would love to have this.

Not an AN225 expert, but I believe those are like the roots of the wings.

You are right, it really is a wonderful model. Those who bought one will be more than happy with it. This is something really new in 1:400, not cheap but exclusive. I heard saying that flugzeugmodelle.com is thinking about An-22 in 400scale and Ekranoplans too.
