Nice collection, Gary. Do I see a space for that gold "Children's Conference" there?

That's a GJ Air Liberte DC10 with the L'esprit Liberte world tail. Air Liberte was basically acquired by BA in 1997 when they bought a 70% stock holding when they were going down the tubes. They bought them at the same time as TAT and stuck them under one management. They finished operating in 2001.They also used the La Pyramide du Louvre world tail which unfortunately hasnt been done yet Cue Hugo!!

Re: My BA Collection

Wonderful collection Gary, I've really am Jealous, what I would do for 500 scale 737-200 Utopia's. I have to get some BOAC models after looking at your line up.

First class collection.

Am I correct in thinking that their is no 741 Landor in 400 scale?

Thanks, yes there are a few i still need like the odd couple of Concordes,VC10's, and some BEA/BOAC older releases, i still need around 40 to complete, thats without the customs from Hugo which will be added soon,as well!!! The AC red tail and Airtours 707s will be added very shortly also. At least i have completed all world tail standard releases now

Yes your spot on, there are no 741 Landors in 400, be lovely to see the ill fated G-AWND "City Of Leeds" or G-AWNM "City Of Bristol" appear ...but there again there is also no red tail or Landor 57!!!!!...Now there's a double pack release!!!!........I'll just keep dreaming

I have some photo's of G-AWND "City of Leeds" in 89 at LHR and CHC, bet you didn't know that BA flew their. LHR-BAH-SIN-PER-CHC-AKL. Not sure how to upload those pictures though!

In 500 we have G-AWNA "Colliford Lake" and G-BDPV "Blea Water". Which are fantastic models, then we don't have a 747-236 Landor!

Do you know the Water/Lake name ND carried? Only one missing from my list.

I am not 100% sure but i think it was named "Coniston Water" - after the infamous lake!! (I am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong!!) - Very strange how ND met its fate as did Donald Campbell...
Campbells father built many of his machines at Brooklands which of course has links via the famous airfield, BA ,Vickers and it was at Brooklands that the British and French governments signed the agreement to jointly build Concorde on the 10th July 1961. The 4/10 model of Concorde from outside the Heathrow tunnel was moved there in 2007.
This maybe explains BA's enthusiasm to name their aircraft at the time from the lakes and waters from around the Wey valley Lake District.
Of course as you know ND was named "Christopher Marlowe" before and "City Of Leeds".
If anyone can correct me or give more info ...let us know please
