798, 799, 800! (and my wife still loves me!)

on my latest trip to London I went to ARD in Hillingdon and bought models no. 798, 799 and 800 for my 1:400 collection, the result of about 8 years collecting in this scale.

nothing spectacular new, but some nice models nonetheless. I was happy to find the Aeropostal as I tought it's sold out, at least that's what the website said.

The Continental 747 is a very nice model with a very classy livery but seems not to be so popular among collectors. They had several of them in stock. This model is also another milestone for my collection, it's my 120th 747 in 1:400

The Thai Star Alliance is not really my favourite but also not too bad and I generally like Thai and have a larger fleet already. And finally it's on sale, which made the descision easier

no. 801, 802 and 803 should be on the way from the US to my home by now.

The Thai A330 is a beaut. Didn't realize it until I got mine recently too.

Bravo Zulu Silverbird! Sounds like the momentum certainly has not slowed down after 800! Keep em coming!

Presentation is great!

The collection is reaching impressive proportions Jörg! I also like the Aeropostal - it was such a legendary airline; a collector's classic. The shots are also really nicely done!

800 - well done I've just reached a quarter of that total so I've got some catching up to do. I've got the COA 742 for the simple reason that I liked the look of it and it was fairly cheap on ebay.

thanks for the nice comments. I allways try to slow down but there are too many nice releases
And keep in mind, size doesn't matter just enjoy your collections as they are.

Hey Silverbird,
love the pic's . The Continental is a nice plane, don't know why they're not popular . Have just purchased the Continental Micronesia 747-230 Big Bird. It will have a special place in ones' collection.
Now just need to be able to take pics half as good as you and I'll be happy.

No, but it makes about 2/3 of my collection. I have models in many scales from 1:1000 to 1:48, but mainly 1:400 followed by 1:500 and lower double digit numbers of 1:72, 1:144 and 1:200 models.

the photos where actually a 5 minutes job, must be the light of the late afternoon sun shining trough my window that makes them look so nice

The CO Micronesia was the one I really wanted, but as it was sold out I just got this one.
