I go to the ADR shop all the time! It's great! it's Mach III Plus on their price tags but I don't know why. 8 of my 11 models are from there. 800 models though? Are you the possible reason that most of the Gemini jets (if you collect them a lot) are sold out quickly (lol)? some British Airways models I want in Union Flag livery (Chatham Dockyard) are very hard to find from retailers. The internet is sometimes difficult too.

The guy who owns the ARD shop used to be on top of the Queens building at Heathrow before you got to the viewing area. I think it was called "Mach III" then. When the viewing area got closed down, he located to the current ARD site.

I know. He's Polish as well. Aparently he's not a big fan of model aircraft, he just likes them. He told me he doesn't collect them because they look nice in the shop. I used to go to the Queens Building when I was a toddler until it was closed down when I was about 6 or 7 (something like that).

Re: 798, 799, 800! (and my wife still loves me!)

So far my girlfriend and I agreed that if we get married I get a room to myself, as long as I don't complain about the amount of shoes she has. Seems more than fair to me! Now lets see if she will freak when she sees the boxes of models I still have stored at my parents house for now.

I meant to ask is that CO the I believe Big Bird 400 one, I have that too, I love the model but they are sold out over here, I am glad that I got mine when I did, because they went fast, atleast where I got them from.

Thumbs up Re: 798, 799, 800! (and my wife still loves me!)

Congratulations for your big collection, I'm waiting for my 500th without counting customs. 800 models in 8 years mean 100 models each year and so one new model every 3-4 days: WOW!!!

good trick with your gf, she has her shoes, you have your planes.
maybe we should open another thread to exchange tricks about how to deal with girlfriends and wifes
The CO is the BB one, don't know about any other manufacturer making them.

Lollo
yeah, just every 3-4 days, that's why I have all the other scales
Please stop calculating, people might think I'm crazy, though there are much more severe cases if you read the 'it's getting out of hand' thread.

Re: 798, 799, 800! (and my wife still loves me!)

Years ago I had a N-scale train collection of large size. No longer. Now at the age of 52 I am dabbling in diecast model planes. Being married for 30 years this December my wife is very understanding as long as I take care of those things she puts on my honey-do-list hahahahaha
