Re: Ok i think its getting out of hand

No in fact i only have two aircraft with the same reg out of 787 aircraft and i got those two today. N305EA in the BEA and Court Line demo colours. I also picked up three BA tristars and a early gemini yellow tristar and an Orient Thai B747-306. In terms of the 737 collection, if i added all the double registrations then it would go from around 405 to 442 which quite frankly i'm happy not to collect.

Re: Ok i think its getting out of hand

I do have one question though and thats the ERJ145 in BA colours. I've never found one of these except for one guy who must have had around 100 of them at Gatwick a few years ago hidden behind his stand. That really is probably the only aircraft i still want really. I've got me RAF tristars and VC10s. Saying the a grey/green RAF herc would be nice too.

I'm not sure where you would find it but keep looking.

Re: Ok i think its getting out of hand

They do turn up occasionally but normally at more than i want to pay.
Thinking about it the one i really want is very very obscure and i know nobody makes a model of it and thats a Nouvelair Tunise MD83 it was one of the Irish reg ones but i cant remember which one. My first ride on an aircraft from Gatwick to Monastir. (also explains my avatar). The only other ratable haulage i had was a Yes Air Tristar from TFS to LGW a few years back twas operating on sublease to FCA. Otherwise its been mainly FCA B757s, must have had all of them over years between LGW and TFS includng the crate that is G-CPEP i've seen public toilets in a better state of repair than that thing, then again not suprising given its previous owners.

To Fatherjack: What airline do you have the most of in your collection? Mine is British Airways (well I know it's only 5 out of 11).

Re: Ok i think its getting out of hand

Well it depends. I tend to collect the ones i like and also if they are cheap like £5. I'm quite pleased with the orient thai as only 500 were made. Not bad for £10. There are quite a few BAs but i only tend to collect the current ones and earlier. I avoid the world tails as i really dont like any of them. In fact i remember when i was at a freinds and familiy day at filton many years ago and there was a plane A320? in the paint hanger painted up in the world tails livery. I dont think we were supposed to be in there as an steward came in and went mental. I was later told it was the first one to be painted and was hidden until launch date. I did take a photo but as it was on 35mm (no digital in them days) it could be anywhere now. I'll try and find it and post it.

The one aircraft i was really supirsed to see was the MK Airlines Jumbo. Living under the approach for 27 theres normally one a day so when i saw gemini did a model i had to have one. I think an MK DC8 was pushing it a bit. I actually have a nose landing gear lamp off an ex MK DC8 currently sat round the back. Was stood next to it taking photos of me next to the gear then a bloke from MK said do you fancy one of the lamps, i didnt need to ask twice. I think it was off 9G-MKL but i'll need to check.

I don't like the world tails either. Chatham Historic Dockyard (Union Flag) livery is the best in my opinion.

I think you mentioned it before, and if I think of it, you mentioned it in almost every single of your 77 posts. So I guess we know it now and you can stop telling us. Thank you

Re: Ok i think its getting out of hand

I have a couple of BA 744s in the Dockers livery (as i've recently heard it called, rather dubious if you ask me) and although i dont have the new one all the previous ones have straight 1 and 4 engines.

Re: Ok i think its getting out of hand

Fatherjack: Wait a minute... what time does the MK land at Heathrow? Is it the DC-8 or 747-200F? If it's between 8am and 3pm then I 'm in school but please tell me when it lands!

It's a shame that the wind has been blowing from the East latley. I haven't been able to see planes land over my house anymore. I live under the approach of 27L! You're talking about Heathrow right? If not are you talking about Bristol? I'm confused... Where did you say the MKs land? I know they go to Manchester... I just shut up now.
