Expectations for 2007 (and 2010)
now that the Dash 8-400 has been unveiled, I certaily expect some European Dashs, e.g. SAS and FlyBE.
I also hope for releases of some forgotten airlines like Luxair (hey, it's even a national carrier and with a long history and a fleet with many type from ERJ145 to 747SP!), Air Malta, Spanair, Maersk, Air Greenland and others. Finally I hope some gaps will be closed, e.g. Alitalia narrowbodies (MD80, A319), Delta MD80s, Qantas SP's and many L1011 from a GJ. |

How about some more flying boats?
I am looking forward to receiving my Catalina flying boat later this month. I expect that we will see this released in more liveries over 2007 - I hope so anyway. What I would LOVE to see is the Short's Sunderland and Sandringham in this scale. Two absolute beuties from yesteryear that would make nice companions for the Catalina.

I think we'd expect to see many 787s, and maybe someone would eventually come up with a prototype 747-800.
And maybe the manufacturers would give light to more and more Asian carriers this year. My personal wishes would be the Royal Brunei 757 or Fokker 50 and AirAsia planes.

What a ripper! Recognised the Billabong Surf logo (how could any Aussie not?) but just who owns this Albatross? Does it belong to Billabong USA or to Hawaiian Airlines or is it owned privately? If it belongs to Hawaiian then there's got to be a chance that someone will make it. Nice photo.

Hopefully 2007 will see a lot more regional stuff released instead of the constant flow of heavy's. Air Canada 319/20/21 would be sweet, or even a Canadian 320 in the proud wing livery.

I'd give my right arm for some Braniff 727's in the Ultra scheme.
