The mould on the DW looks nicer... Also the windows on the Herpa are too high.... Or is it the cheatlines and the elaborate logos that make it more appealing..... Herpa is not to big on the little extras, are they?
I'd have to say thats a no-go on the Herpa, but I like how the wings are not white!

I agree with Diecastair, Dragons A380 is clearly the better. The windows sit to high, so do the wings. Even the landing gear are to tall. The nose mold for the Herpa A380 looks off to.

Yes DW is seen far better, the only complaint with DW is the frontal cockpit windows, they are small and looks weird!
In a few days I'm going to buy my first A-380, Qatar, even so DW is my choice. Herpa not yet convinces to me.

That's exactly the point. I have waited for the Gemini A-380 for a long time because "Gemini Jets don't make fantasy models", and now they announce the 787! It will not be that Airbus has licenced the A-380 in exclusive to DW by a certain time?

To me these small pictures aren't enough to judge which one will be better, the Herpa or the Dragon model.
For instance: I like DW's front undercarriage better (seems more realistic), but I find the Herpa wing attachment (or whatever it's called) to be more accurate than the one on the DW model (which seems too 'thin' to be in scale). See what I mean?
