Airbus have been a leader in the use of composites in airliners and every new model or upgrade is introducing a higher proportion of composites, so really DW's use of composite metal/plastic is much more accurate
![]() About the A318, I think it looks weird, too short and what and on the ground it'll look aweful. They are having terrible problems with the P&W engines with a lot of customers changing their orders to other A320 family jets or cancelling I think, in the fullness of time I think the A318 will be a good machine but it's having a very problematic development... The A318 is part of the A320 family. As for that stupid P&W engine, yes this is not helping the A318.

What about the model itself?
The prototype photo of the actual aircraft shows V2500 engines and taller tail. The DW release shows P&W airplane with standard height tail. I know there are two engine options for this airplane, but what about the tail heights? Thanks, B2 B2
