Hogan/Herpa wings - question

Hi @ all,

i have a question about the herpa/hogan wings fighter series in 1:200 scale.
What is the difference between these 2 manufacturers, i think the models are quiet the same. Is hogan still producing his m-series, or are the models at ebay or at different model shops "sell-out-models" ?

Thanks

Re: Hogan/Herpa wings - question

They are practically the same, I have several of both and the quality on them both is near identical.

Hogan are still producing the M-series, they earlier this year announced F-15, S-3 Viking and a Prowler. I don't know about if they are producing the older F-16 and F-18's they made.

Aviation Retail Direct sell quite a few of them: Aviation Retail Direct : Worldwide supplier of quality aviation models, books and DVDs

Re: Hogan/Herpa wings - question

Thanks for the information. Good to hear that hogan is still producing his m-series. I think the hogan models are a little bit better than the herpa wings fighters, the tomcat from hogan has movable wings, the herpa tomcat not for example.

I have also heard from the F15, does anybody know when it will be available?

Has hogan a homepage?

questions, questions, questions...

Most collectors in military aircraft are in the 1:72 scale. Must admit that I find 1:200 a tad too small for military jets.Maybe you should give it some time to mature!

What makes you think that 1:200 is too small for them? Personally I cannot fault Hogan and Herpa on them.

But I do agree 1:72 is the most popular for military aircraft, only thing that lets them down is the space required for storage.
