Brussels Airlines Avro RJ replacement?

I just checked Wikipedia and it said that SN will phase out their Avro RJ85s and RJ100s, and i am wondering: what will replace them?

And just out of interest: what will happen to their BMA route?

Re: Brussels Airlines Avro RJ replacement?

Hm, i see. I've been wanting to see the Dash-8s they operate, but they haven't shown up at BMA, so they are very welcome. But then again, seeing other C-series jets than Malmo Aviation would be interesting.

SN ERJs are also welcome as we only see Finnairs ERJs. And they are so f-ing boring.

Now you're talking! flybe Nordic becoming an entrepreneur for them would make spotting more interesting.

Re: Brussels Airlines Avro RJ replacement?

Hi Flightfan,

I caught this at Manchester Airport the other week.

I also noticed that there was an Austrian Dash8 which had smaller "operating for Brussels Airlines" on it. I assume that the Dash 8 are being operated on the MAN-Brussels routes in place of the Avro? initially I had thought it had just come off lease and returned to Flybe awaiting painting, but having see the Austrian as well makes me think otherwis.e

Re: Brussels Airlines Avro RJ replacement?

I do love a Dash 8-400's something about them just gets me. Looks good in the Brussels livery as well, better than just seeing them in FlyBe colours all the time.

Re: Brussels Airlines Avro RJ replacement?

I have a friend who is pilot on Korean air but he is an ex-Sabena pilot. I will ask if he can talk to his ex-sabena friens (some are now flying for Brussels) to know more about the Dash 8-400 and the avro Rj remplacements.

They're getting the Dash-8? Nice! I just hope they've fixed the problem with the main gears.
