Watching it LIVE on CNN right now. Seeing the bomb squad unit going up and down the air stair.

Hopefully the passengers who subdued him were able to land some punches on this guy. Absolutely terrible...probably a wannabe trying to attract attention.

However, the Netherlands authorities should check into how this guy got past the security check. Whether its a weakness in their procedures, or worse, if he had an accomplice working on the inside.

Re: Failed Terrorist attack on NWA A330

From What I have heard, Amsterdam has Two Security Check outs, One Before you enter the Departure lounge and One at the Gate how this happend we dont no?

This could of been AF447 All over again, At least a think that was the flight number,

Thumbs up to the People who helped disarm him!

Thanks

Most of the reports I've heard ID'd it as a Delta flight as well, though it could be that the DL A330 was "operated by NWA". A few of the planes in the DL Fleet that came from NWA have that little sticker.

I'd still classify it as a Delta flight myself though.

Its guys like this, that are ruining airline travel for everyone else. I remember it used to be fun, and enjoyable. Now It seems like the majority of people think of it as a chore or a death wish.

I personally still love to fly. But I think its time the USA did something more proactive...AKA Find every Terrorist and put a bullet between their eyes.

That flight was operated by NWA, it's flight number was "NW253".

I'm sorta sad we didn't have any Marshalls on this flight. In my opinion 1 dead terrorist killed in the act would probably deter many more...

Comon' Cop - that's what the FBI, and CIA are doing alrady, it's just not really publicised and after all that's what Afghanistan is all about right?.. And the responsibility shouldn't be just on the USA, it should be ALL NATIONS, improving the greater good .
Hearing all this trouble about the bombing still rings home the 7/7 train bombings in London, and the countless terror raids in certain cities in the UK not forgetting 11/9 in the Big Apple. :'( RIP.
I think there is only ONE way to solve this: abolish pat down searches, abolish metal detectors, and employ the all seeing eye/tool: The X-Ray Machine!
They have them at MAN and although I have never been through one, I'd happily go through it (albeit losing my dignity) and know that the passengers wouldn't be carrying anything hazardous. But I don't get it, if you're carrying an explosive device you wish to conceal, you would not want to into a machine that will identify it easily, if they are to become effective for safety, they should become compulsory. A good link: Cheers!

Re: Failed Terrorist attack on NWA A330

Northwest is Delta, Even a delta plane, Anybody who seen that aircraft on the news must be saying Delta is a target for terrorists, Dont know why they are still useing NW flight numbers.
