LOT in GOLDEN livery!
Just reported on Skyliner - aviation news & more
LOT is to paint SP-LLC B734 in an all golden livery to perform its first flight on June 4th to Brussels, where 161 passengers - dressed in gold - will fly to walk on the streets of Belgian capital. The project is called "Common Thing" to commemorate 20th anniversary of the end of communism in Poland (4th June was the date of first democratic elections in Poland in 1989). The aircraft will retain the golden livery with 80 anniversary logo on the fin.

Hey, that wood be the chance for the golden fantasy livery manufaturer (like Netmodels...) to make a non-fantasy golden livery!!

Re: LOT in GOLDEN livery!
Interesting story, read about it yesterday. Much money for an airline that had some problems some time ago...
However, this is THE BEST CHANCE FOR NETMODELS to make a REAL GOLDEN MODEL!!! GO ON NM

Re: LOT in GOLDEN livery!
That's a nice looking aircraft
If there was a 1/400 version how much would it roughly cost?

If Netmodels, who is known to produced gold plated aircraft got their hands on a 734 mould, they would possibly make this one for sure.
In a way, I'm sorta disappointed on this one. I was really expecting that they might take the livery that the Li-2s/IL-12s/IL-14s wore and make it into a retrojet to celebrate 80 years in the sky.
For those who need a visual:
This specific bird is in VERY sad shape, but it is one example
Here is one that a IL-14 had worn

Hey, model plane manufactures, how about some Braniff PZL 230Fs.

Well, the 737 might mean "more western products"...crazy, isn't it?
Anyway here's a nice example. Not Polish, but nicely restored:

I don't exactly understand what you mean. I'm not saying it's a Eastern/Western product thing. Just saying that this might be a very nice livery to see on the 737-400. Especially considering the trend to do Anniversary schemes after as retroliners.
