Thanks for pointing this out. I also know that by the stats there are less crashes of Boeing plains then there are of Airbus plains when the number of each model is produced.

This is often times done to get contracts with airlines. Airbus sends work over seas too in exchange for orders. Back when the American made bird was the only one you could buy nothing went over seas. Besides the final assembly is still done in the US.

Cars are different than Airplanes. Besides with the Dodge example most of the auto plants are in Detroit, MI and Windsor, ON which even though might be across the border from each other they are "One City". Ask anyone who lives their.
I won't mind driving a Canadian made car or flying a Canadian made bird. Canadian made stuff is just as good as US made stuff.
