would you pay $12 for transatlantic

as i am sure some of you know ryanair are talking of transatlantic routes. so would you?
it would not include fares and taxes or food or entertainment and would be to places such as Islip MacArthur NY or Baltimore Washington!

Re: would you pay $12 for transatlantic

Just remember, supporting something as unrealistic as a $12 transatlantic flight offered by a rogue airline only perpetuates the state of imbalance that we are in. It keeps employees from being paid a fair wage, it undermines the efforts of the carriers that are charging the correct price to continue operating legitimate businesses, and is unsustainable. So in the end, there are just more airlines going bankrupt and employees losing their jobs. People wonder why the economy is a mess, and yet they don't support the companies that have stood by them for all of these years. I say, fair fares are good for all!

Exactly! The "fuel surcharge" on a $12 flight would probably come in at around $550, plus ticketing and passenger handling fees. A cruise line here in Florida was recently sued and heavily fined for hiding their fee increases inside of supposed taxes and port charges.

If Ryanair was to fly into NYC, the Airport they would use is Allentown.

Oh, and you know you can add a signature via the USER CP, you don't need to include the link to your airport in every thing post.

Flying aboard a plane reminecent an 18th century african slave ship (but with more advertiseing) is fine for the one to two hour hops accross europe, but If i wanted to fly 8-10 hour hauls accross the north atlantic, id atleast like to have a certain level of comfort, and for that im happy to shell out good cash.

Once you have added everything on the fares will be the same as the other transatlantic operaters ! If it was me i would go with Virgin ! As everything is in with the price of the ticket.

Re: would you pay $12 for transatlantic

Hi everyone,

Recently BBC Watchdog which is a TV show on BBC TV in the uk which follows up companies which have been scamming people, recently did a Poll of the Best and Worst Airlines, and Ryanair was voted the worst airline, with BA winning the best airline and second worst airline. The full report if anyone is interested is at: BBC - Watchdog - Airline vote results
Not sure if the videos will work for anyone outside the UK, but you can still get access to the report.

How much would it cost to reserve a seat?
How much to check in?
Sounds like a plan for lost of hidden fees. Plus, Ryan Air all ready has gotten in trouble for multiple safty violations.
