RAF Tornado comes off runway at newcastle
just heard on the bbc news that a raf tornado jet has come off the runway at newcastle airport, apparently victim of a birdstrike.

update: the tornado suffered a bird strike earlier on in the flight, then whilst attempting to land it overshot the runway, as a result the runway has been closed

of course we do, i live right under the flight path for any aircraft joining the circuit, its great every day i see emirates and on saturdays the sanford flights, and thats the highlight of what i see. would love to see bigger aircraft come to egnt, thats why i didnt copy it for my airport, ive got things like VA 340s and emirates 777s, never see them in newcastle

I know what you mean blackpool may have 3 runways but 3 small runways mainly for pravite aircraft but i only see the boeing 737-300 (jet2) 800 (ryan air)

I think balckpool should be maded bigger but the question is who will use it ?

well youll get easy jet, they will go to anything with a long enough runway and flybe will most likley start something and someone like monarch thomson or thomas cook might see something in it

yet more news, now a american airlines plane has made emergency landing at LAX i think lax anyway, fist manchester, then newcastle now this in 1 day!!

it was a GR4, so it was raf marham, not sure what sqn, its weird because i was there with the Air cadets on camp a month age and it may have been the one i was in
