Re: BA B777 Short Landing at Heathrow - Airport Closed

It was moved to outside an engineering hangar just to the right of Heathrow Rwy 27L. I saw it as I landed there on the 11th March returning from Dublin.

I still get a kick out of this Joker Vijay Raj! He had so many of you young'ns fooled he was a real pilot. Notice he hasn't been back since a couple of us called him on it.

The reason i don't believe Vijay Raj is because of the type of Language he uses, it is very childish and he does not confirm anything, when my brother is flying on April 14th from Hong Kong to Mumbai on 9W for work.

MY brother will be taking the United flight to Hong Kong on the 10th for some business deal and then on to BOM.

No concrete info, but looking at the pictures and having seen the thing briefly I would be very surprised if it was to fly again.

Indeed - thanks for sharing. It sounds incredibly calm, professional...

Is the plane still there?

Re: BA B777 Short Landing at Heathrow - Airport Closed

Wow! That recording is harrowing. It is great quality - the QATARI 011 must have been just behind it to have a go-around like that. At 0:27 - I can hear claxons, and sirens, as well as a stressed out pilot, but would the 'stick-shaker' have been going at that point - signalling an aircraft stall?
Also, is is standard procedure to reiterate key words such as 'crash', 'aircraft accident' and 'aircraft crash' etc in ATC comms..?

Good quality ATC recording!

I beleive that clicking noise is the aircraft stall indicator
