KLM M11: where are the PTVs?

i thought KLM's MD-11s are supposed to have PTVs?

Should they? The MD11 is an old plane, perhaps KLM does not wat to invest in them.

i believe they did announce some time ago that the interiors will be upgraded to match those of the airbus and 777s.

Re: KLM M11: where are the PTVs?

I flew with KLM back in 2003, That M11 didnt have any PTV's. Only their newer fleets, like the A332 and the 772's have these PTV's (which left me SO dissapointed when I was downgraded to a 744 without PTVs as opposed to my oroginal flight on a 772 w/ PTV's when I flew to Manila in July 2007.)

That depends on how long KLM will use MD11. I read that the 777s will replace the on long haul flights, so perhaps they don't want to make big changes on planes. Same thing on the 744s, which will also be replaced by the 773s.
