Wow, poor Etihad, this can't be that common for the big jets can it?

in cases like these, who gets the insurance money? airbus? etihad? both? in the first place, are flight tests prior to delivery covered by some sort of insurance?

Pics of the other side of the wall here...

Looks like she might be done. Although, this actually might be repairable!

We were talking about something like this in my Aviation legislation class. It depends on who was working on the aircraft at the time of the accident. Since Airbus was testing it, they will have to deal with the problem and the insurance company. Since it is Ethiad's aircraft, then the insurance company will have to talk to the airline for some sort of compensation. If it was from a private maintenance company then their company's insurance will pay for it. I wonder

Looks like someone's brakes did not work or someone did not set the paring brake. I betcha if you did it, then this would not have happened. I had it happen with a small single engine plane we had out for a class. We tied the tail down and if it was not for the tiedown at the tail, then it would have started to taxi all over the place. If you are going to run up an aircraft I hope you know how to stop the plane with the brakes and shut down the engines too.

This is quite hard to say... So far, there isn't much information. It could also be a BAD week for Airbus.
Okay, if 3 or 4 more 346 are going to crash, sabotage-theory would be fine!
