 Description
After the NASA Space Shuttle, in the form of the prototype Enterprise on the back of a Boeing 747, now the orbiter makes a return appearance in the Collection as an independent craft without its transporter but with a stand, extended landing gear and new details like engine outlets. The design also differs slightly from its predecessor model. The model is released in the Enterprise’s later livery in which it was mainly seen at exhibitions and in which it can still be seen at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian Museum of Flight in Washington DC.

Model Review
Mould & Assembly: The Enterprise Space Shuttle model is acurately done and a lively representation of the real aircraft. The mould is sleek and properly scaled. The finish of the model is clean and matted. The assembly is precise and well done, with no apparent gaps or visible seams. The well detailed wings are of perfect fit for the mould. The tail and rear engines are placed and assembled properly.
Realism: The simple livery NASA uses on its shuttles is plain white to keep heat absorption down. The model's livery is precise and almost all details shine with regard to scale ans detail. Print and paint quality appear excellent. The vivid colors are a match.
Details: The mould is properly scaled to the minutist details. The nicely colored livery is in all the right places in the fuselage. The nose section is excellent and the width of the "tiles" on the cleanly finished nose is precise. The cockpit windows, flags, NASA and Enterprise titles are neat and placed properly on the fuselage. The landing gears are scaled and well placed in the mould. The engines are meticulously put together. However they should be darker to match those of the real shuttle.
