Description
| |
In 1995, the Dutch Minister of Defense decided to purchase two DC-10-30Fs from Martinair assets. They were converted to KDC-10s capable of airborne refueling as well as transporting troops and cargo. In October 2004, the original of this model novelty was added a third example from United Airlines assets. It is operated minus its refueling system, basically flying as an original DC-10 in the versatile -30CF version with the registration T-255. This model is from the 334th Sqd. | Model Review
| | Mould & Assembly: Herpa has done a great job with their 1:200 models. This model and mould is no exception. Details are abundant and properly suited for this scale. The assembly is very professional with no horrible gaps at critical joints. Realism: This model is as realistic as 1:200 scale can be. Details are present that add to the realism. Perhaps the only drawback is that it looks almost too clean. Otherwise great job. Details: The details are excellently rendered. The landing gear is exceptional and above Herpa's usual standards. All antennas are present as well as wing and empennage detail. Cargo doors, static ports, and side lights are faithfully rendered.
