 Description
Herpa States: "The performances of the Eurofighter EF-2000 are impressive: two EJ-200 engines deliver up to 90 kN thrust, which give the aircraft a maximum speed of mach 2.1. It is well equipped with a Mauser cannon as well as up to 13 attachment points for bombs and missiles. 180 EF-200s are supposed to replace the aging F-4 “Phantoms” of the German air force. The first are already stationed at the air base Rostock-Laage, amongst them the original of this model with the registration 30 + 20."

Model Review
Mould & Assembly: I've already written and commented on a few 1:200 military models from Herpa and while this is a new venture for them the 1:200 fighers never fail to amaze me. Lets first begin at the wings; replicated very well their thickness for the scale may be a bit on the heavy side, but the design and layout are exact. The wing gap root is a bit apparent, and I believe I had mentioned this in other 1:200 reviews; possible that Herpa could change the wings to be mounted from under to eliminate that gap. The cockpit area looks very good, as do the canard wings. There are some minor detail markings that are molded incorrectly, but not enough to worry about.
Realism: The realism in something so small is very apparent. Even the feel of the paint gives the model a military aura about it; strange I know, but it is true. The landing gears are too scale, something we don't often see with the smaller models. Under the belly with the gear doors open we see a bit of detail.
Details: While on military models there are minimal items to print, Herpa paid attention and printed those that were most important. The Luftwaffe logo; safety markings, German flag and other details are printed in their correct locations and add to the model.

I can't find much wrong with this model other than the wing root gap. Bring this typhoon into your arsenal, you won't be dissapointed!
