Description
| |
The original of this model changed its colors several times, just like a chameleon. In 1999, it was still commissioned in the blue-orange Hapag Lloyd colors. later it received the blue-red Hapag Lloyd design with the TUI smiley and new winglets. Today, its new livery combines the Hapag Lloyd red with the taxi yellow of Hapag Lloyd Express. Because TUIfly stands for Hapag Lloyd Flug and Hapag Lloyd Express, which both belong to the TUI Airline Management.

| Model Review
| | Mould and Assembly: The mould and assembly are very good. There are no gaps where wings, tail, and elevators join the fuselage. It is disappointing though that Herpa did not add antennas and nav lights to the model.
Livery: Colors and printing are right on.
Details: Details are so-so. Its almost like this model was produced as a toy and not for collectors. As stated earlier, there are no antennas nor nav lights as other 1:200 manufacturers can and do include. The cockpit windows look very good along with the wipers. The engines are well done and the fans are carbon colored. Excellent job.
| Pluses
| | Mould and wing/elevator joinings. Colors and printing
| Minuses
| | Lack of antennas and nav lights Lack of incidental markings such as on engines.
