 Description
In 1984, the legendary entrepreneur Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson founded the very successful Virgin Atlantic Airways. The low-cost airline Virgin Express emanated from the Belgian EuroBelgian Airlines founded in 1991. It cooperated with the former Belgian national carrier Sabena and after its bankruptcy, with the successor SN Brussels Airlines, but operates its fleet, consisting of eleven Boeing 737s, mainly under its own identity. The original of this model with the registration OO-VEX is one of the very few examples of the –300 series to be equipped with winglets.

Model Review
Mould and Assembly: This model's mould appears bulkier than the actual aircraft. The nose is slightly blunted and the back of the model appears "fatter". The model is nicely finished and sleek. The assembly appears neat for the most part, however a gap between the tail and the mould is visible. This model's representation of the real aircraft is decent although minor flaws compromise the overall look.

Livery: The bright red Virgin Express livery is simple and yet flashy. The model accurately reproduces the livery of the actual aircraft to the minutest details. The print quality is excellent and sharp, and the paint quality is also outstanding. The colors used on the model vivdly match those on the actual aircraft.

Details: The mould is well detailed and represented, although minor flaws compromise it. The livery is properly detailed and all the elements present on the actual aircraft are well reproduced on this model. The printed details are precisely done, especially the frames around the passenger windows and the writing and logos on the fuselage. The front landing gear of this model is positioned further back below the main passenger door unlike the actual aircraft. The main landing gears are positioned correctly on the mould. The colors used on the landing gears are correct. The engines appear to be off angle and facing upward, their shape is inconsistent. The pylons appear much bigger on the model than on the actual aircraft. The level of detail on this model is adequate for the scale and reproduced properly.

This Virgin Express Boeing 737-300 model is a nice addition to any collector's fleet, nicely executed and pleasant to look. Minor discrepancies, however, bring down the overall impression of this model.
