Model Review
Mould and Assembly: As stated in my previous Russian reviews I'm no expert on Russian aircraft. Starting with the nose of the model it seems as if the disnction between the slope from the top of the fuselage to the cockpit window then the actual nose cone area is too bland. There should be some more distinction between the cockpit area and the actual nose of the model. This could be due to excessive paint that has blended this area of the model where it should be more distinct. The fuselage itself is well done and the overall dimensions of it are proportinate to the the acutal aircraft. The wings are moulded in the correct position however they are just slightly on the thick side and connect to the fuselage in the old under wing fashion, however it is well done and you can hardly see from looking at the side of the mdoel that it is connected in such a fashion. The stabalizers are made of plastic and are not painted over like some of the newer models produced.

Livery: The old Uzbekistan livery while less colorful then their newer livery still has a classic cheatline feel to it that reminds you of how airliners used to be painted. The Uzbekistan titles are correctly placed on the fuselage in reference to the window line and the blue color continues correctly through the fuselage onto the vertical stabalizer where it is painted on against the white moulding and is correctly and well done. The green color is where the model has issues and should be more of a green color then the teal color that the model is. The green stripe is correctly shaped at the front of the fuselage which is a well replication considering its odd shape. The grey underbelly is correctly painted true to the acutual aircraft.

Details: This model comes with the basic standard of details. The cockpit windows are well placed and while not perfectly shaped are accepstable considering the number of panels that are needed for this model. The anti-glare shield under the cockpit windows is correctly shaped and well done. The registration is clearly printed in white with minimal bleed over against the blue background and are also represented clearly on the wings of the model. One surpising note is that this model does not come with passenger window frames as most of the other club models have done. The red wing and stabalizer tips are also well done and are true to the real thing.

This model was a "free" club model that was produced for Herpa club members. It seems as if Herpa did some shortcuts on this model and didn't produce the extras that are normally produced on club models. The livery overall was well replicated however the green color on the fuselage was not accurately researched and turned out to be more teal then it should be. I'm not an expert on Rusian moulds but the mould looks to be relatively well done. Overall the model could use some more details and being very basic it just didn't leave me in awe and wonder.
