Named Boi Taull, EC-HGZ was registered and entered service with Iberia in 2000. Designed to replace the aging 727, the a320 family has served Iberia well, fulfilling all of the duties required by a workhorse. Iberia has been a member of the Oneworld Alliance since 1999 and this model proudly showcases the oneworld logo on both sides, near the front doors. Herpa really took time with the little details on this model, as evident in the oneworld logos. While many airlines prefer to only have the logos on the boarding doors on the port side, Iberia has decided to also display their pride for the alliance on the starboard side, which Herpa replicates. Many consider Herpa to have the best 1:500 line, second only to Starjets, and this model certainly lives up to this reputation. Overall, an excellent model for 1:500 scale.

| | Mould and Assembly: The aircraft appears to be well assembled and the mould looks appears accurate. The tail correctly tapers to a point. I have a few gripes with the mould. The nose is a little square, and the tip is not as rounded as the real example. Herpa has gone the easy route with this aircraft and not created a rounded finish, but has decided to have a series of flatter edges on the nose which taper to too square of a point. The other gripe that I have with the mould is that the tips of the wings are slightly thicker than they appear on the real example.
Livery: One of the most difficult things to replicate on a model of this size with a livery like Iberia's is the placement of the striping as compared to the windows on the fuselage. The livery and registration markings are accurate, including the small gold crown in the dot of the I in the IB on the tail.
Details: Herpa has added a lot of details that really make this model. The Oneworld logo is correctly replicated on both sides. The model features the IATA logo, as well as Airbus A320 logo on the side. The only thins in the details that I can fault is that the engines appear to be slightly translucent. While they are sprayed on the intakes, an excellent detail in my opinion, they are not painted, just injected plastic. On the real aircraft, they are not translucent (for obvious reasons) and any model representing the aircraft should be the same.

| | One World Logo on both sides. Accurate Cockpit Printing. IATA logo included.
| Minuses
| | Nose a little flat. Engines Slightly Translucent Wing tips slightly thicker than real aircraft.
