Model Review
Mould and Assembly: Overall, the mould looks good and every part of it is in the right proportion. The colour of the nose of the model could be more realistic, it looks too dark compared to the nose of the actual plane. The gears are placed in the correct position, but could be made a bit smaller. Also, the white colour of the gears should be toned down a bit, as they really stand out in an ugly way. The wings are nicely connected to the fuselage on the correct position. The colour of the wings should be more silverlike as far as I can tell. There is quite a gap between the rearrudder and the fuselage, which we see often on other models from Herpa.

Livery: The livery is beautifully done, and has no errors. Based on the new Aeroflot colours, but slightly different on the tail. The red cheatline rises just a bit too slow to the tail of the model, it crosses below the window instead of through it. The colours are realistic, no problem there. This livery gives a new and modern feel to this old aircraft.

Details: There are a lot of details on this model. Every door and every window (with frames) is placed correctly on the fuselage. The flagged art on the tail is beautifully done with a lot of attention to the details of the printing. The wings of this model are somewhat less detailed. I think Herpa should pay more attention to the colouring here. The wings seem a bit toylike on this further very realistic model.

Some small issues on the mould of the model, specially the ugly white gears. In this scale, I think they can't really be smaller, but maybe some carefull colouring will make it stand out less. No complaints about the livery and the details because the realism here is very high: no detail on the fuselage has been forgotten.

Overall, I think it is a very nice model which is a must have for collectors of the Ruskies.
