With Delta Airlines only operating 5 747s, this model represents a rare plane indeed. As part of Delta's fleet from 1971 to 1977, this plane was one of the flagships of the classic Delta Air Lines.
This model is the Fifth Herpa Wings Club Models of 2006.

Model Review
| | Mould and Assembly: The mould looks pretty good. The nose section is correct and the gear line up as they should. The hump does not taper off as quickly as it should, thus giving the 747-100 a 747-400 feel.
The wing root is OK with an acceptable gap although I'd like to see an effort made to remove/change the one wing slotted wing root. the shape of the wing root is pretty good and the wing looks fine.
The pylons could use a little work as they are a little but too thick and do not fit flush with the engine. The tail of the 747 looks good and there are no issues with this part of the mould.
Livery: What a classic! this livery is simply fantastic. Even though it is a Eurowhite livery, everything about this livery is just fine. The cheatline is just fine, the widget is correctly done and lines up just the way it should. The tail widget is perfect. No problems here!
Details: Why does it take a Wings Club model to get the pitot probes and strobe lights on the fuselage? The details on this model are fantastic. Everything is there, from the probes to the silver window frames. Everything lines up as it should - from the registration to the doors. Simply fantastic!
The widgets on the engines are a little off as the stylized widget should be a little bit smaller. And surprisingly, no APU!
