Model Review
Mould and Assembly: There's really not much to say about this model. It's an NGV A320 family model, and as we've seen, they don't look great.

We've seen improvement in some of the family (A319), but the A321 nose cone is still too long. Cockpit windows are nicer than they were on the original NGV models, but they're still bowed up - the middle windows are too high. The nose could still be sleeker, and the tip of the nose cone less "hamster like".

Everything about this model is just a big "fat," from the gear struts to the fuselage. It makes the whole model quite stumpy. And the landing gear - both the nose and main landing gear are placed in the correct places, but they're just a bit too fat, making the model look a bit short.

The wings are also gulled up The one plus is that the wings are inserted, so they're no glaring mould seam. The engines look great, though, with both a nice exhaust and intake.

Livery: We've been lacking a Monarch Airlines model for quite a while. Having this, even though it is in a special livery, is definitely a step in the right direction. The model not in the most updated of Monarch's liveries, and lacks the billboard titles of the latest update. Additionally, it has special royal wedding titles.

But still, the model has been done extremely well. As a club model, there seems to be some extra attention to detail. The placement and the titles are both correct. The blues and yellows are bright and pop, and printed in the correct locations.

Special mention goes to the "Just Married" and "Congratulations Will + Kate" titles, which are incredibly small, yet exquisitely printed. Herpa didn't take any shortcuts here.

Details: As a special club model, Herpa has given some extra attention to the details, and this has paid off. There are plenty of special details that I will mention. There are some nice markings on the nose (silver square with red outline - not sure what it's called, but it's on all A320's), there are some nice cargo door markings, and I am loving the special markings that are all over the engines.

Details add so much to a model. This model has more markings than most, and this certainly adds to the model. I am happy Herpa chose to put some more on this model; hopefully some of these make it on to other models.

Livery is crisp, with nice colors
There are more details on the model.

  The mould needs work still.
I wish Herpa made a normal livery Monarch Airlines. Just my opinion, though.

This is a special livery model - it has the will + kate titles. I wish that Herpa had made a normal Monarch Airlines livery. However, this could be an indication that Herpa has the license for Monarch, and may make future models. Other than the mould, this is an extremely well done model.
