 Description
Herpa States: Ten examples of the small German-American regiojet with the exact title DO-328-300 are flying for the Milwaukee-based Skyway Airlines with today’s brand name Midwest Connect. Although the original, registered N360SK, is still flying with the name Midwest Express Airlines, and the model being imprinted accordingly, the actual Midwest Express Airlines doesn’t even exist anymore due to several reorganizations of the holding company.

Model Review
Mould and Assembly: I've written a few Dornier reviews before and I don't like repeating myself, but the assembly hasn't changed: this aircraft is assembled very well, there are minimal seams (only along the tail strut, and on the under carriage) that look as if they are not part of the aircraft. The landing gears are a bit too short, however not enough to deduct any points.

Livery: The livery is good - if anything the blue is a bit too light. The red cheatline may be just about a mm too low, but I can't really deduct points there. The tail logo and placement are right on.

Details: A 1:200 model allows a manufacturer to add in details that are not often seen on smaller models. For one, the rear marker light is an actual piece of plastic, this adds a great deal of realism to the model. Left and right marker lights are printed, as well as a number of ports and fuselage details. The antenna on the bottom and top of the fuselage are in the right spot, but are a bit too thick for the scale. We'd like to see the marker lights on the top painted. Painted details are good, but there could be more.

Pluses
  Great regional jet mould
Good livery repro

Minuses
  Minimal details
Some minor points off for thick parts

I really love RJs, especially the Dornier 328, as they remind me of a baby BAE-146! But enough of my preferences! This model is unchanged from the last D328 review, and while certain things (details and minor mould issues) haven't been improved, we still think it is a great model. Plus its an interesting livery that you don't see every day.
