Herpa is taking off for real; 570 square meters of decals gave the DC-3 the livery of the model producer with a nostalgic logo. Until spring of 2006, the airplane with the Herpa colors will be based in Atlanta, Georgia and fly its rounds. Its biggest appearance was at the Sun ’n Fun air show in Lakeland, Florida, one of the biggest in the world, from the 4th until the 10th of April 2006.
