 On October 1972-construction of a new runway (Runway-2) started. The dimensions of Runway-2-3, 700×60 m (and a strong concrete runway surface 54 cm thick)-enabled operating any sort of aircraft without any limitations. The major and taxiways (22.5 m wide) were radially connected with one another and the runway.

 We bring you another update from Garrit's blog. This time we show you how the first lines were laid for the planes to automatically follow a pre-determined path; all operated by our computer system and we show you another video on the construction of the airport and the runway.
