Herpa Austrian Airlines SUD SE-210 Caravelle 1:500, Thursday, 09 July 2009
Herpa’s decision in releasing the beautiful Caravelle is wise. This jetliner is essential to any collection because it is a classic and the first rear-engined passenger jet. This model is beautiful and I look forward to acquiring one for my collection.
Herpa China Xinjiang IL-86 1:500, Friday, 15 May 2009
Herpa made an excellent decision in releasing this model. Russian jetliners are very rare and sough-after and the magnificent IL-86 was a gift to the 1:500 community. I am very impressed by the quality of this model and hope that Herpa releases more IL-86 in the future since there are plenty of exotic operators of this aircraft throughout the world.
Herpa Northwest Orient Boeing 377 Stratocruiser 1:, Friday, 15 May 2009
Herpa made a smart decision in releasing this model. This classic double-decker needs to be remembered. This model is of high interest for collector of vintage airliners and prop planes. The packaging of this model is better than the previous Herpa box design, the transparent plastic "window" helps one see the model inside the box if displayed like that for example. My overall impression of this model was good, even though it is toy-ish looking at certain angles it is a very special model that I hope to someday add to my collection.
Herpa Douglas DC-8-11 "Ship One" 1:500, Tuesday, 31 March 2009
The Douglas DC-8 Ship One model is a great addition to any collection because this aircraft was one of the first commercial jetliners. The vintage livery of the defunct manufacturer is also a plus. I am impressed by this model and hope to see more Douglas prototypes in the future.
Herpa Air France Sud Se-210 Caravelle III 1:500, Tuesday, 31 March 2009
Herpa made an excellent decision in releasing the beautiful Caravelle. This aircraft is essential to any collection because it is a classic and the first rear-engined passenger jet. This model is charming and I am glad I have such a classic in my collection. I would like to see an improved version with cockpit window frames and new nose gear.

Herpa Wings Virgin Express Boeing 737-300 1:500, Monday, 17 November 2008
This Virgin Express Boeing 737-300 model is a nice addition to any collector's fleet, nicely executed and pleasant to look. Minor discrepancies, however, bring down the overall impression of this model.

Olympic ATR-72 1:500: FIRST REVIEW, Tuesday, 19 August 2008
Olympic Airlines ATR-72 1:500 by Herpa. This model is nicely done for its size but flaws in detail detract from the overall effectiveness. << Start < Prev 1 Next > End >>
