image Delta Air Lines has 14 airplanes of the type MD-90 in its fleet. The original of the model, with the registration N906DA, is the sixth MD-90-30 that was commissioned by the airline. A total of 134 airplanes of this type, based on the DC-9, had been sold, when Boeing stopped production in 1997 – immediately after the “merger” with McDonnell Douglas.

image Since 2003 the award-winning Air Dolomiti of Trieste, Italy has belonged to the Lufthansa Aviation group. Five examples of the British four-engined BAe 146 are in the fleet, of which I-ADJF was the first to be taken on in April 2005. This aircraft has a long history with an initial cancelled delivery to Discovery Airways, eventually being delivered to Dan Air London, and operating for five other operators and leasing companies until finding a home with Air Dolomiti.

image Hogan released this Spirit Airlines A321-231, registered N584NK as an exclusive release for IDTJets for Spirit Airlines. As all Hogan models, the model is partly mounted, but you have to attach the wings, the vertical stabs as well as the gear to the model. For those, who haven't done this, yet, don't worry, it's pretty easy. Hogan shares the A321 mould withe Herpa, so it's the same as the one Herpa used for their Finnair A321, released in mid 2006. A unique stand with "Spirit Airlines" titles.

image Herpa Says: "One of the world’s most famous and long-lasting airboats was already in 1933 – the Consolidated, later Convair, designed PBY “Catalina”. Various versions existed for this operators all over the world, whereas 167 examples of model’s original were delivered to the Navy as from 1940 on. They mainly served as surveillance, transport, and liaison aircraft."

image Herpa Wings released this Flugfélag Islands Fokker F-50 as an exclusive release for the Herpa Wings Club Members. It's the third Herpa Wings Club Model for 2006 and is limited to 1250 units. The model carries Flugfélag Islands "2000s" colors. The plane is registered TF-FIS and its name is "Sigdis". Please be advised, that the registration TF-FIS is currently applied to an Icelandair 757-200, but before that, the F-50 carried it, so it is correct.

image Not seen in Europe for almost 30 years, the outstanding “Electra” suffered from its fatal teething problems. Today, it is back, although it is mainly used for cargo transports. Based in Coventry England, Atlantic Airlines operates eight “Electras” of which the L-188C/F, G-LOFE was the latest to join in 1998. Atlantic Airlines is one of the few L-188 Electra operators left in Europe and it's nice to se such a rare bird as a model in scale 1:400
